WE LIGHT UP THE NIGHT: COLOR MANILA

May 05, 2016 - My parents decided to go to Alabang Town Center for them to have a quality time or should I say "family date" haha! Because my dad will be leaving for a Europe trip, And I am 100% sure that my mom will miss dad. So, they're spending allot these past few days with each other which made it very sweet.
While mom and dad was strolling on the 2nd floor of the mall, they saw this "RUNNR" Sports Shop.
The shop has this attractive poster which led my parents in checking the poster out. Which look exactly like this (poster below) Yes, It was really attractive haha!
My dad decided to buy two tickets. One for me and one for my brother Leonard. The reason why my dad bought us tickets to participate in the said event is for us to enjoy while he's in his trip in europe. Aww, sweet. Love you papa! By the way, the ticket costs 950 Php for a 5K runner. My mom does'nt want to join the run but she will be accompanying us through out the whole event.
When my parents got home, they're so excited to tell us about the event that me and my bro will be participating. At first, I was not that interested because I don't want to leave the house. But my parents said that it will be fun! - When they purchased the tickets it has race kit inclusions. (As said in the poster above) We already have the drift shirt, black light led lamp and of course our runner numbers with us. The finisher's medal and the color packet will be claimed in the actual event. Seeing this kit inclusions made me more excited! I really can't wait for May 28.

May 28, 2016 - It's the day of our run and I still have no exercise. Actually, We could have had plenty of time to stretch because the event would start at 9:00 p.m. So, I decided to stretch some of my body parts so that I will not get easily exhausted while running. We left our house at exactly 6 pm and arrived at 7 pm. We were really early that time. But it's ok because we still don't know the venue of the event.
After waiting for 2 hours, the event has started - It started with some cheerful greetings followed by a prayer and the national anthem. The hosts were very energetic that night that every one of us started to be hyped. Like, all of us were really enjoying the night and were all ready to run fast like horses! So to sum-up it up, It started like a rave party!

I really like the idea of having these blacklight led lamps on our heads and wearing these glow in the dark dry fit shirts - It just made the whole run extra fun and look! we're like fireflies that lights the night up!

Every runner needs a break. In short, UHAW (thirsty)! haha! Every stop has a hydration station that every runner should stop by for a drink - Those cups are filled with vita coco (pure coco water) and it's super delicious!

I really enjoyed this night! It was so fun and colorful at the same time. Thank you mom and dad and of course Thank you God for allowing us to enjoy and experience this kind of event and for keeping us safe. Till next time color manila!
